Ishaway Friestad

Ishaway is based out of the costal area of Virginia. Her work focuses on the use of animal headed figures and animals to relay elements of the human condition. The major focus of her work over the past years has been finding the inner calm or center of self, and how that can grow outward. She uses a wide range of media, including watercolor, oil paint, and complete mixed media.
